George Masefield

Senior Associate Solicitor

George is a Senior Associate Solicitor working within our Dispute Resolution Team as well as alongside our Private Client Department. He handles all the firm's claims, debt recovery, cross-border disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and enforcement proceedings.

George has an excellent track record of achieving favourable settlements for his clients before significant legal costs are incurred. Where settlement cannot be achieved, George has experience representing his clients at Court and obtaining injunctions on their behalf when required.

Litigation can be expensive and to assist his clients George can offer a free initial assessment to help clients view their matter from both a commercial and legal perspective so that they may make a better informed decision as to the commercial viability of pursuing their matter and the risks involved.

George was previously this firm's client manager and addressed all new enquiries, which offered him a unique and diverse perspective. George undertook his training contract at the firm and showed himself to be accomplished in Litigation, Employment Law, Wills & Trusts and Family & Child Law.

George read law at the University of Nottingham and graduated in 2008. He then undertook his LPC at BPP Law School (Holborn) where he developed a keen interest in Litigation and Private Client work.

He has gained experience in Property Law as an intern at Leigh Davis & Co Solicitors and volunteered as a trainee adviser at the Hammersmith and Fulham Citizens’ Advice Bureau where he furthered his understanding of client care and debt recovery.

George was an active lawyer in the recently reported case of:

Friends of Burbage School Ltd v Tony James Woodhams [2012] EWHC 1511 (QB).
